Virginia Beach native and SBC alumna Corin Diaz made her first EP at SBC using the music program's Sound Art Production and Analysis Studio. The studio was funded by a $10,000 grant from Chegg, which SB won in 2016. SBC alumnae helped win the online contest, which also included a Rachel Platten concert on campus. Diaz spent a year learning the program, with help from Assistant Professor of Music Josh Harris, before recording her music. She was inspired by Velocity Rose, '18, and Briana McCall, '17, who graduated with degrees in music and used the studio to record their senior projects. Diaz also earned a Grant for Engaged Learning from SBC to help fund an exploration of entrepreneurship in the music industry. You can like and follow her on FB, Instagram, Spotify, and YouTube.
