This October, Sweet Briar College will release Seeing Art: The Art Collection at Sweet Briar College, a beautifully produced collection of essays by Annie Montgomery Labatt, former Director of Galleries and Museum at Sweet Briar.

The 282-page hardcover volume features full-color plates and essays exploring works in Sweet Briar’s remarkable art collection, including works by Albrecht Dürer, William Hogarth, William Blake, Auguste Rodin, Mary Cassatt, Pablo Picasso, Helen Levitt, Roy Lichtenstein, Joan Mitchell, and more.

The book includes a foreword by President Mary Pope M. Hutson ’83, a preface by former President Meredith Woo, and an introduction by the author.
